The Holy Bowly menu is healthy. Healthy in the true sense of the word, and healthy in that it’s never stale. Our menu is always changing and evolving. We base our menu around what’s in season, what’s fresh, what’s tasty, what looks best at the markets. Expect something to change on a weekly, or even daily basis.
We only make and sell fresh, tasty and healthy food, so if we’re at the market and we see something that grabs us, we jump on it. If Spinach and Kale are going off, you’ll find Spinach and Kale based bowls on offer. Berries in season? More than likely you’ll see berry smoothies and acai berry treats. Broccoli, Sweet Potatoes, Lentils, Beans in season? Expect some delicious curries and hearty yummy winter soups.
Items like our single origin coffee and organic teas are available season round, but the idea is everything is made to demand as we swap and change around what’s ‘freshest, bestest and healthiest’ we also react to what our customers want. A superfood is considered to be a food that is particularly dense in nutrients. Superfood is typically presented in its ‘raw’ state, meaning unprocessed, unrefined and not heated above 47 degrees. Many foods are regarded as superfoods including Kale, Spinach, Acai berries, Blueberries, Pomegranates, Chia, Spirulina, Barley grass, Chlorella, Chlorophyll, Wheatgrass and others, as well as fatty fish such as Salmon & Mackerel. These foods pack a lot of punch for their weight and are superior sources of antioxidants and essential nutrients needed by your body.
Why is superfood or raw food good for my body?
